Recently a friend and colleague of mine, Anna Bordioug, co-wrote a blog with another friend and colleague, Antonio Maio on the pitfalls of bad naming for DLP policies. The blog discusses how a bad naming convention can cause your admins and your users problems and the outcomes from a supportability perspective.
I was deeply honoured when Anna asked me to join her at the M365 Conference to present a podcast on this subject with her. We took it a bit further and discussed the naming approach for sensitivity labels and retention labels as well.
